TOP 5 Anime Like Black Clover
Black clover's long hiatus makes many fans speculate that we may never see the day when this shounen beauty returns. seeing similar hiatus events with HxH and No game No-life, each anime being on hiatus for years respectively, it seems as though it may either take forever or we may just never see Asta and his friends partake on the journey again outside the manga.
so, while we decide what to do. we can, in the meantime watch anime similar to Black clover. similar characters and/or story plots in hope of closing the hole in our hearts and ever-growing distrust in animation studios.
Number 5: Seven Deadly Sins
The World Seven Deadly Sins take place in is similar to the one Black clover does, a world where certain individuals are gifted with magic, incredible power.
Seven Deadly sins ( Season 1) follows Elizabeth as she and the seven deadly sins re-ban together to fight a common enemy and stop the kingdom from falling into the wrong hands. Exploring past situations new friends and future enemies together we follow these memorable characters and unique plot holes ( till season 3).
Number 4: Fairytale
Both Characters are the very representations of the phrase " never give up" Asta not giving in even after being born without magic and Natsu always persevering, even when things seemed hopeless. both never gave up on their friends and those close to them.
Fairytale starts off with Lucy is a young mage who is looking for celestial keys, her dream is to become a full-fledged wizard by joining a guild. on her journey to achieve her goal, she meets Natsu and his cat friend Happy who are looking for Natsu's foster father. As a turn of events, Lucy joins the guild fairy tail through Natsu and begins living her new life as a member of Fairy Tail.
Number 3: Haikyuu
Both Asta and Hinata or underestimated because of their height. they are short and stubborn boys. as the story progresses, we learn how powerful they really are and what happens when they are underestimated and taken as jokes. the people who did such things end up regretting it.
Hinata, a relatively short middle schooler, falls in love with volleyball after seeing the " small giant" on the volleyball team in Karasuno high school. Hinata joins Karasuno high school to meet his lifetime rival, Kageyama, on his team. together, they make a formidable team as they battle other teams on the court
Number 2: One Piece
Like Asta, Luffy has a big and ambitious dream. he wishes and aspires to be the pirate king. Asta wants to be the magicking. both characters have quirky and stubborn personalities with big ambitions and even bigger hearts.
One-piece follows a young male named Luffy who has a dream. he wants more than anything to become the pirate king. he sets off on a journey one day to do just that, on his way, he meets many characters who join in on his quest to become the king of pirates. there are enemies to compete with, those who have the same aspiration, and the lingering mystery of the devil fruits are still in the air.
Number 1: Boku No Hero Academia
Both Asta and Izuku are perceived as " unspecial" and " disgraces" because they are without the one thing that makes everyone special magic. Izuku lacks a quirk, he is quirkless. Asta requires magic to defeat his long-time rival, Yuno.
My hero academia follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born quirk less as he navigates life without special gifts. he admires hero's and his classmate Bakugo who has a powerful quirk and is going to a school for heroes. That is until he meets All Might, a hero in his own right, and gains All might's quirk. Now, how will he defeat the many villains after him?
Conclusion
Here is ( as of 2021 ) the anime I believe are most like Black Clover in character, story, and plot. Black Clover in itself wasn't too unique of an anime, familiar plot, similar characters. your average shounen anime. this made my job much easier, all I had to do was find similar anime, and trust me, there is an abundance. if there is anything that you believe I missed, feel free to comment or email me.
